What does friendship means to you?

Have you ever meet someone and you just feel “Maa shaa Allah right away?”
Because I find it so hard to trust people, I try not to have expectations when I meet people…
Of course there is the phrase ‘trust no one a 100 percent’ but to be honest, I don’t even trust people a 10 percent…

And I have lived my life that way for years, This is why I feel my life is a very peaceful one because I usually don’t have as much expectation from people so I don’t get to feel a type of a way when someone decides to show me why I shouldn’t trust them… You get right?
And because I don’t trust people that much, it’s usually very easy for me to treat people the same way.I mean, I would normally be nice to everyone…

But the past 2 years has been growth! growth! growth! Allah has constantly reminded me that I need to push me out of that zone, I need to at least be able to give people chances, I need to take more risk!, I need to be less calculative, I need to be even more open minded and I need to Trust Allah even more because this will help me ease up even more and honestly trusting Allah helps you trust people…

Alhamdulillah, I would normally attract all kinds of people, most times, opposite of me, perhaps because I don’t judge people and Allah swt has blessed me with listening ears… Although I am always quick to make my stands clear, so even though I listen and show love, my friends in the half naked dressing world knows I am not in support of it and they are very aware that they will usually make no attempt to invite me for any bikini event… But we are still cool… You get right?

One Du’a I made early this year repeatedly was “O Allah, show me my friends this year..” because it was just seeming like I have too many people around and everyone was doing almost same thing, I am not a perfect being so I would always question what these people see in me? And my mum would normally say “When someone shows you love, show them love too”

I value friendship so much than what friendship is to many people…
I might not be that friend that calls every day but I am that friend that specifically mention your name in sujood all the time, I am that friend that helps solves your problems behind you, I am that friend that respects you and your decisions and I am that friend that believes in helping each other grow and sharing in each other’s pain, I know i am that trustworthy friend!…

Friendship means a lot to me, that I make cautious effort to actually ensure that we are both happy… To me, it’s never a competition of who is who or who did this first…I don’t expect you to return the gestures but at least don’t wake up and decide to make me sad, I would be heartbroken and even shattered!!!!! You will think the world is against me….

Does it make sense now? Treating everyone the same way is my own way of protecting myself having gone a number of heartbreaks…..
It will interest you to know I have never been heartbroken by a guy!!!
This is how much power I give to my fellow girl friends…

So asking Allah to show me my friends has been super interesting that I have falling out and in…And I am so grateful for the process… I have met people that In Just one sitting I felt they were my blood sisters, I have had a friend who has constantly proved to me that it is a do or die thing, she constantly reminds me that she is a blessing from Allah and so on and just like I said earlier, I have falling out too, falling out so bad it pained! But look who isn’t forcing anything! Me!

And this is why I think I have grown, before when I fall out, It will ache so much that I will shut all doors, when people approach me with friendship, I literally scream in my head “Carry your friendship somewhere else lemme enjoy my company in peace” but now, it’s a different ball game entirely!. And falling out is clearly Allah’s way of reminding me that he does put on his servant that which he cannot bear…. #tawwakul…

Allah has also placed me in a situation (this year) where I just had to trust a 100 percent… It was hard for me but I did it! And I am glad I did… I still don’t have as much people in my life because I believe it’s not about quantity… But one thing is sure, I am not shutting the door anymore! #tawwakul…

It’s not even a gratitude post but I am genuinely grateful for people who constantly send love my way… I pray Iam able to do same…
Please feel free to let me know what friendship means to you in the comment section…
Thank you for stopping by and see you in my next post In shaa Allah….

  1. And you are still not romantic 😢😢😢😢 will keep praying for you🤗🤗🤗. Friendship means so much to me. My girl friends are like my husband (sorry husband to be). I take the relationship to heart and can go all out to see them happy. Good thing is I don’t expect anything in return reason why I don’t get hurt when they act funny. Alhamdulillah for Amazing friends turned family. even when we don’t talk often the connection is always there.
