Woke up this morning with a strong craving for motivation, some words of motivation that will push me out of this exhausting and unwilling place I have been for a while now. I knew for a fact that only the words of Allah will pierce my soul in an unimaginable way but I was very tired which made me quite reluctant.
My body felt weak and my soul even weaker that I couldn’t walk to pick up my Mushaf. You are probably asking why I didn’t just listen to a reminder. I get you but I have a thing for connecting with Allah SWT through His words by reading the Qur’an MYSELF in a quiet place. I do not enjoy reading with my phone as I find that I connect better reading from the book directly. But like I said I was weak and reading from my phone seemed like my best option.
Picked and just opened randomly to let Allah speak to me and the very first verse I came across was a verse about the final success…
Every soul will taste death and you will be paid in full only on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is kept away from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have triumphed. The present world is only an illusory pleasureQuran 3:185
Thinking about it now, that was just all I needed to read as it made me pause to connect with my mind as to why I feel so tired physically and mentally, and here is what I arrived at..
Jannah is true and it’s worth all the sacrifices you make here in this Dunya for the sake of pleasing Allah. Things of life may overwhelm you, the stress, injustice, and atrocities committed every day but in the end, the thought of the day of Judgement and how those who have Taqwa and who Allah is pleased will be beautifully welcomed into Jannah should keep you going.
The day of Judgement is true, Jannah is true and it is worth it. But how do I strive to attain Jannah if I remain in an overwhelming state of sadness? Solely because of the happenings of the world. Is this me forgetting that Allah SWT is Al-Hakim and Al-Alim?
The fact that people who were oppressed in the world will get justice and bask in the mercy of Allah on the Day of Judgement got me out of bed to remind you that, Allah sees it all and He knows it all, so get moving.
