The way people misuse power in Nigeria is ridiculous and absolutely appalling….
I guess we aint as shocked over what our leaders do anymore but what’s more disturbing is how people behave when they are put in a small position of power…
Oh dear…Even if you want to be humble in Nigeria people will frustrate you to a point and hellloo, This is just the absolute reason why people ask the question..”Do you know who I am?”..I hate to admit it but Yes! These people actually frustrate you to that point.. Almost like for things to be done right, you have to be the daughter or son of a known person…It doesn’t matter, whether it is a privately firm or not, all na same….
Makes me wonder! What exactly is wrong with us….
You walk into a fast food restaurant to get you a snack, the lady at the counter is giving you all the attitude in the world like, it can’t be any other fast food resturant…
A bank to open an account or deposit your money, you will be rudely spoken to, like yea, they are actually doing me a favor…!
The gateman to a company to open the gate, oh well, I forgot it’s not his duty, he is doing me a favor..at least that’s what’s written all over his face…
The custom officers to do their job they begin to confidently demand for bribe! Over what? Oh i forgot, they have a bit of power and yea right! They are doing me a favor….
What saddens me is how we constantly say all sorts about the government forgeting that the government can’t do everything for us, should incase you don’t know, that’s actually the bitter truth…
We just have to work on ourselves and be better citizens of the Nigeria..somebody will come and say it’s the government that caused it… SIGH. Let’s not go there today….
We are where we are today because of our messy attitude, you are like this infront of the counter or as a manager, please what will you do if you become the president? What?
That change that we are craving for is our very own change, we have to be the change that we want…
If you own a private company or you are a part of the human resource team, please make it a duty to put the right people where they belong.
The fact that she is your aunty’s daughter doesn’t mean she will do well as a manager or infront of the counter…
It is also important to constantly teach and train your staff regarding customer service…Enough of all these stinking attitude….
And as for government workers that enjoy raising their shoulders…. You know already….
Have any experience, please share in the comment section…
