As believers whenever we sin guilt tends to consume us.This could be a good thing and could also be a bad thing…
Guilt could either drive you to repentance or it could destroy you.
The later involves shaitan constantly whispering all sorts in your ears.Telling you how big your sin is, how much of a disappointment you are and how much Allah won’t forgive you…(Wa na’uzubillahi minash-shaitani Raheem).
Some days back, I had a discussion with a sister who felt she had sin so much that Allah won’t forgive her and I thought ‘How cursed is shaitan?!’ Who constantly makes us feel this way, when Allah swt has promised to forgive our sins even if they fill up the space between heaven and earth….How cursed is shaitan! Subhanallah!
On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Allah the Almighty said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it. It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal).
I didn’t even want to fill this sister with so much talk,So I recommended this video which I saved a long time ago to help remind me that Allah is ever forgiving whenever I sin…
But then I thought why not share it with you guys? This is something that happens to everyone and sharing the video will only make shaitan a loser. So here we go:
وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
Quran: 2:186-186
Never despair, Allah SWT is ever forgiving…
And that’s it guys.
See you in my next post In shaa Allah….
